It is a later model vintage Seamaster. Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs, this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement with quick-setting date carried on the mechanical tradition of the Seamaster. It is the finer higher jeweled version of the 101x series, with twenty-three jewels, six more than in the caliber 1010.
Its tropical or hypoallergenic gold-plated case with steel back has the look of a solid gold Omega for a fraction of the price.
It is fully Omega down to the original hands, signed winding crown, and even its original Omega waterproofing seal!
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Our photos couldn't do it justice! Its original dial has been meticulously refinished - the gilt printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
A Master Watchmaker has disassembled it down to its last screw and overhauled it. It winds smoothly and is running strong and incredibly true. It continues to keep chronometer grade time in four of the five testing positions.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
